English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has signed a four-year partnership deal with online gaming company Sportingbet.com, it has been announced. Global financial services provider Barclays has signed a two-year deal to become the financial services sponsor of Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club, it has been announced. Al Jazira is a United Arab Emirates football club based in Abu Dhabi and is currently top of the UAE league after finishing second last year.
Al Ahli signs sponsorship deal with Toshiba
Dubai-based football club Al Ahli has signed a US$3 million shirt and stadium sponsorship deal with electronics company Toshiba, it has been announced. Qatar Airways becomes sponsor of 2022 World Cup bid
Qatar Airways has been announced as the official airway to Qatar’s bid to host the 2022 Fifa World Cup. The sponsorship deal follows last week’s announcement that Qatar National Bank would be the official bank of the bid, as well as marking the arrival of the Fifa inspection team for their three-day inspection today.US World Cup bid needs both domestic and international legacy
The head of Fifa’s inspection team for bids to host the 2018 or 2022 World Cups, Harold Mayne-Nicholls, has said any tournament held in the United States would have to leave an international legacy as well as a domestic one. Mayne-Nicholls praised the stadiums and the infrastructure in the US, but warned: “If you were to be awarded the event, we would also need a strong focus on international legacy, not only on a domestic one.”

UEFA Launches Euro 2012 Ticket Registration; Intersport Appointed Retail Licensee
(WFI) Thousands of football fans have registered to buy tickets for the Euro 2012 tournament being co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine. Polskie Radio reports that around 5,000 fans have entered their details at the official UEFA website since registration opened earlier this week.
