Dear all,
What I enjoy about football marketing is to watch a new trend unfolding live. Great exemple yesterday with the launch of the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly II Safari football boot. A shoe Cristiano Ronaldo will be wearing on November 7 against Atletico Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. There is no compromise. Love it or hate it.

Hi all,
I was reading earlier an article on Sport Business.com reporting the fact that Sony distances itself from the FIFA World Cup bid crisis. Sony is a FIFA partner, so are adidas, Coca-Cola, Emirates, Visa, Hyundai-Kia. Sony said that “the probe into the bidding to host the 2018 and 2022 World Cup “isn’t great”.

Hi everyone,
adidas has launched a social networking game to pit UEFA Champions League cities against each other. A great initiative to engage football fans, and integrate a strong social media component. A good recipe football brands understand and fully use.

Hi all,
Today, Paul the octopus died. He overshadowed the World Cup 2010 stars by the accuracy of his predicting the match winner. A lot has been said about his surnatural powers - even calling him the oracle – and there was a huge buzz about him. Deserved celebrity or have we gone mad?

Hi everyone,
Since May 2010, the football marketing landscape has a new guest: Turkish Airlines. On the way to becoming a global brand Turkish Airlines, has achieved another worldwide success with the sponsorship deals. Hi all,
According to Soccerequipmentreview, the below pictures are the new Mercurial Vapor VI Cristiano Ronaldo will be wearing. There is a proverb in French: “Every taste is in the nature” which means that everyone has a different taste. The colour palette of this new Mercurial will highlight this very proverb!

Hi all,
Yesterday in Serie A, another example of stupidity in football. Samuel Eto’o, the Inter Milan striker (and other black Inter players) suffered racist abuse from Cagliari fans. It is obviously (and supposedly) against FIFA / UEFA laws and principles, but it seems that clubs keep on getting away with it.

Hi everyone,
No, we are not on December 2, when FIFA will announce the organising countries for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup. But, sometimes, a message is crystal clear although it has not been said out loud. Blatter is, as I write this article, meeting with England Prime Minister in Downing Street. The FIFA boss statements are unambiguous and without misunderstanding; he is backing the England’s bid.
