Borussia Dortmund to Launch New TV Channel

Hi everyone,
One of the most popular Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund will be launching an exclusive TV channel with Deutsche Telekom. According to I-sportconnect, the North Rhine-Westphalia club partnered with the German telecom brand to provide a dedicated club TV channel called BVB Total!

Football club Borussia Dortmund of the German Bundesliga have entered an agreement to start an exclusive TV channel and mobile package with Deutsche Telekom. The channel comes as the side look to boost their profile after an outstanding start to the league season has seen them eclipse the likes of soccer giants Bayern Munchen.

Exclusive to the Deutsche Telekom’s Entertain television service, the new subscription-based channel will be known as BVB Total! The channel will carry live coverage of Borussia Dortmund’s league fixtures. The initiative will also feature delayed footage of all other matches and will include a news service, interviews and special reports involving the club. The channel’s online content will be accessible via Deutsche Telekom’s MobileTV service.

Henning Stiegenroth, head of sports marketing at Deutsche Telkom, said: “BVB Total! is a unique football TV offer for all fans of Borussia Dortmund, with exclusive insights into the team, the players, the coaches and the club. The fan could not get any closer without being there. We are pleased to start our Liga total! package with Borussia Dortmund and will expand this further in the future.”

Carsten Cramer, Borussia Dortmund’s head of sales and marketing said: “We are convinced that, together with a strong partner like Deutsche Telekom, we are offering our fans a unique product. We are treading a new path, technically and in terms of content.”
