Euro 2012 signed two new partnerships with Ukrsotsbank PJSC a member of UniCredit and Canon. Ukrsotsbank PJSC will be the third national sponsor and official bank for the UEFA Euro 2012. Canon will be the official imaging provider for the tournament.
Ukraine’s leading banking company will handle all financial transactions to do with tournament and will be able to run ticket promotions for its customers. It also gets brand presence in official premises of the final tournament.
A UEFA spokesman said: “UEFA Euro 2012 involves a number of financial transactions, from the payment of suppliers to the handling of ticketing and corporate hospitality sales accounts and it is therefore extremely important to be able to count on the expertise of Ukrsotsbank in this respect.”
The commercial programme for Euro 2012 limits the national sponsors to four companies per host nation, so it is a well valued spot which offers considerable visibility during the tournament.
Canon are the ninth global partner for Euro 2012 after signing up to be the official still imaging equipment provider for the tournament.
With only ten global partnerships available, Canon join adidas, Carlsberg, Castrol, Coca-Cola, Hyundai-Kia, McDonald’s, Orange and Sharp in next summer’s tournament in Poland and the Ukraine.
Canon have been partners of UEFA’s flagship competition since 1980 (with the exception of Euro 2000). Under the agreement, Canon gets exclusive partner rights such as the ability to run ticket promotions, on-screen credit inventory and perimeter board exposure during the competition.
