Sports Endeavors will produce new Tottenham Hotspur merchandise, as well as distribute existing licensed club products via its channels throughout the U.S.
The new deal comes after the Spurs saw its U.S. fan base increase following the team’s recent pre-season tour across America.
Now Sports Endeavors will aim to further engage this growing fan base with a new range of Tottenham Hotspur apparel and accessories. “Our North American fan base is hugely important to the club and [Sports Endeavors] dominates the online [football] retail space, providing a key component in our expanding international licensing program,” says Gary Jacobson, brand licensing manager, Tottenham Hotspur.
“The Tottenham Hotspur brand represents style, passion and flair, backed by a team playing some of the most attractive and exciting football in the Premier League.” Sports Endeavors is also a licensee for the FIFA 2014 World Cup, FC Barcelona and the All Blacks rugby union team.
Following Manchester United initiative to open a U.S office to break through the North American market, THFC are clearly positioning themselves on a retail standpoint. With the backing of Baltimore based Under Armour, The Spurs can confidently make the US market a marketing priority.
