Cosmos programming will kick off on Aug. 3 when the Cosmos host the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Hofstra University’s James M. Shuart Stadium. The on-air team for Cosmos telecasts will consist of play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera and former Cosmos’ goalkeeper Shep Messing as color analyst. The ONE World Sports network is available on DISH, Cablevision’s Optimum TV and Mediacom.
The Cosmos, who will be playing in the North American Soccer League in 2013, made news last week when the club announced that Emirates Airlines will be the team’s official shirt sponsor. Emirates Air also serves as the shirt sponsor for noteworthy clubs such as Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
One World Sports is the US TV home of the Asian Football Confederation Champions League, the Japan J-League, the Chinese Basketball Association, and other professional sports organizations from that region.
The channel is currently only available via Dish Network, Optimum and Mediacom. One World Sports is also streamed live and for free on the station’s official website. That option is available to individuals who are not customers of the three television providers mentioned in this paragraph.

It has been an extensive football month for New York Cosmos. After striking a merchandise deal with Nike, the iconic New York Club announced a partnership with Emirates. Cosmos is still creating a strong appeal on a broadcasting standpoing as One World Sports will air their home games in HD.
Though they will play in NASL, one can wonder if a spot within Major League Soccer franchises not their deserved place?
