Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed the plans following the team’s treble winning season, including the German DFB Cup, which aided its record yearly financial results with a €400 million income.
“We plan to open two offices abroad. One in China and one in New York. We want to make Bayern Munich an internationally-known brand and increase revenue from merchandising and sponsorship,” Rummenigge said, according to German news agency Horizont.
Bayern’s revenues are also expected to rise by more than 20 per cent, while profits are set to increase to give the club its 21st consecutive year without a loss. [Source: Sport Business]
