Nike Black 2011-2012 Away Kit for FC Barcelona

Back in January 2011, I published an article about the potential 2011-2012 FC Barcelona away kit. A full black kit that could make the Catalan players look like the 3rd chapter of the Men in Black. 5 months later, the Football Lounge and other websites were quite spot on on the FC Barcelona away kit.

This is the new Barcelona away kit 11/12, officially released by the club on 17th May 2011 at the Nou Camp. Loads of internet portals had expected the new Barca away kit 2011/2012 to be black in colour, and the official release has confirmed the suspicions.

Barcelona have taken a big step away from the vivid colours they normally use for their change kit and will be wearing an all black away kit on their travels next season. Barca, if you recollect, wore a green away kit last season and a mango away strip the season before that.

 

The shirts, socks and shorts are all black in colour. The logo of kit makers Nike, as well as that of new sponsors Qatar Foundation, are in yellow on the new away kit for 2011/12. [Source: footballkitnews.com]

Qatar Foundation remains the main chest sponsor as on the 2011-2012 Home kit. Same approach with the Unicef sponsorship where the logo appears on the lower back of the kit.
